Adventures in the Big Peach

For my birthday my awesome parents decided to spruce up my yard and do some planting and cleaning! It was an awesome birthday present. I was so glad to have someone not only tell me what to plant, but to move around planters and get all the plants in the dirt as well! I hope to goodness I can keep all of them alive - plant maintenance will definitely be an adventure (especially for some of the crazy plants we put back there).

Check out the before and after pictures below. Before we just had the two big plants, a cement planter of dead plants, and a little fern. You can see Figo hiding out in the picture - he LOVES to hang out in our little back yard when it's not too hot.




After, we now have three planters of various plants and grasses. The cement planter got reworked with some lilies as well as a medium sized grass plant. We also replanted the plants from the cement planter and moved the fern to the front. My dad also cleaned up everything (swept, pulled weeds, etc). Everything looks great! We are going to add some more cushions on the deck bench soon so we will have a nice area for entertaining.
